How do I fix my Skinny Fat body?

Skinny fat is a term that describes a person with little to no muscle tone, but still has some parts that are thin (think arms or legs) along with some fat usually in the belly, butt, or hip areas where we carry fat the easiest. When wearing clothes, you're generally seen as 'average' or even 'thin'. Now knowing what this term is, the next step(s) is figuring out where to go from here. How did I get here? Why did I get here? How do I fix it? Where do I start - do I build more muscle or lose the fat? Can I do both at the same time? The answer: it depends. You'll get a bunch of varying answers on the internet through various searches, making it all the more confusing. Depending on the answers to these questions, and your goals you're trying to achieve, the 'fix' might look differently.
