New Updates to Fireside Chats: Rating, Tipping, and an Exciting Roadmap Ahead

We’re thrilled to share some exciting new features for our Fireside Chat (FSC) offering. As part of our ongoing effort to enhance the user experience and provide more ways for hosts to monetize their content, we’re rolling out phase one of Fireside Chat updates, including rating and tipping for hosts.
This is just the beginning—our roadmap for Fireside Chats includes even more user-friendly features and monetization opportunities. Here’s a look at what’s new and what’s coming soon!
Fireside Chat Rating & Tipping: Show Your Appreciation for Hosts
We understand how important it is for attendees to recognize the value of a session, which is why we’ve introduced the ability to rate and tip hosts. While or immediately after attending a Fireside Chat, participants can now:
- Rate the session: Attendees can provide feedback on their overall experience, helping create a community of valuable insights and ensuring high-quality content.
- Tip the host: Attendees have the option to show their appreciation by leaving a monetary tip. This gives hosts a new opportunity to earn while allowing attendees to support content they truly value.
This update lays the foundation for future monetization models, setting the stage for more ways for hosts to earn from their expertise and time.
What’s Next?
In addition to rating and tipping, we are focused on product improvements to enhance usability and navigation, with the following goals in mind:
- Better Usability & Navigation: It will be easier than ever to discover and join Fireside Chats. The new interface provides a smooth and intuitive experience, ensuring that both attendees and hosts can quickly find and attend sessions.
- Easier Session Setup & Management: We are making it simpler for hosts to schedule, set up, and manage one-off and recurring sessions, offering greater flexibility and control.
- Stronger Foundation for Monetization: This feature also marks a critical step in the platform’s evolution, laying the groundwork for future premium features and paid access models. The introduction of tipping is just the first of many monetization opportunities to come for hosts.
- Increased Engagement & Adoption: With these improvements, we expect to see higher session participation and more return visits from users. A streamlined, user-friendly experience means more people will engage with Fireside Chats, enhancing overall community interaction.
Beyond the UI improvements, we’re already planning phase two of our Fireside Chat improvements, with some highly anticipated features on the horizon:
- Video for Hosts & Co-Hosts: Soon, hosts and co-hosts will be able to share their video during Fireside Chats. This opens up exciting possibilities for more interactive sessions.
- Monetization for Hosts: We will introduce monetization opportunities for hosts to generate revenue from their Fireside Chat sessions.
We’re aiming to complete these updates and have the new full experience ready before the end of the year.
