Bio
As a Board-Certified Music Therapist with advanced training in life coaching, meditation, and sound healing, Lydia understands that healing isn't just about treating symptoms—it's about embracing the entire journey. Currently pursuing her Master's in mental health counseling with a focus on expressive arts therapy, she brings a unique blend of creative expression and therapeutic expertise to her practice. Lydia sees life as an exciting journey, not a destination. She often asks her clients: "when we hit those inevitable rough patches, do we forge ahead with courage, or do we let our fears redirect us?" Through her integrated approach to therapy, she helps people navigate their personal paths, whether they're scaling mountains of challenge or traversing valleys of transformation. Her philosophy is beautifully simple: there is no final destination, no perfect endpoint where everything falls into place. Instead, she believes in embracing the continuous flow of growth and change, helping her clients develop the resilience to handle life's unexpected turns while staying true to their authentic selves.
What to Expect

Your First Session with a Lydia

Think of your first session as tuning an instrument. Just as each string needs individual attention, your coach will take time to understand your unique situation, listening carefully to the notes that make up your life's current melody.

You'll meet virtually – where you can speak freely without judgment. Lydia creates an atmosphere of trust and you’ll soon feel like you're talking with an old, dear friend.

Your session begins with a simple check-in. This isn't about rushing to solutions – it's about understanding where you're starting from. Like a skilled conductor, she'll help you identify which areas of your life feel discordant and which are playing in harmony.

Using her signature approach, Lydia will guide you through several key areas:

Finding Your Tonic Note: Together, you'll explore what grounds you and gives your life its center. This might involve discussing your values, relationships, work, or personal aspirations.

Identifying Inversions: You'll examine areas where things feel "upside down" – situations or patterns that create tension in your life. Lydia will help you understand these challenges from fresh perspectives.

Composing Solutions: Rather than prescribing quick fixes, Lydia will collaborate with you to develop practical strategies that align with your natural rhythm. This might include new daily practices, perspective shifts, or action steps tailored to your situation.

Each session ends with clear takeaways – like sheet music for the week ahead. You'll leave with specific practices to try and insights to explore, but never more than feels manageable. As you progress through sessions, you'll develop a keener ear for recognizing when things are in or out of harmony in your life. Lydia will help you build the skills to make adjustments on your own, much like a musician who can tune their own instrument.

Unlike traditional coaching that might focus solely on goals or problems, Lydia’s approach recognizes that life, like music, is about both structure and flow. She helps you find the sweet spot between working toward objectives and staying present in your daily experience.

Remember: Just as every piece of music has its own tempo, your journey will unfold at its own pace. Lydia will meet you where you are, helping you create positive change that feels natural and sustainable.
