Description

You ate emotionally or more than you intended. Now guilt appears, along with the urge to skip the next meal, compensate, exercise it off, or promise yourself that tomorrow will be different.

But what you do after an episode can either reinforce the cycle or begin to interrupt it.

In this practical, supportive workshop, you will learn how to recover from emotional eating without punishment, restriction or “starting over.” Rather than analysing yourself while emotions are still running high, you will practise a simple aftercare process that helps you stabilise, protect your next meal and reflect when you are ready.

What You Will Learn

  • How guilt and compensation can perpetuate the emotional-eating cycle

  • What to do during the first hours after an episode

  • How to approach your next meal without restricting or trying to make up for what happened

  • How to replace self-critical thoughts with language that is compassionate and credible

  • How to reflect on an episode without calorie counting, blame or interrogation

  • How to create a personal 24-hour recovery plan for difficult moments

You will leave with a practical aftercare plan, supportive phrases you can use when shame is loud, and a strategy for returning to ordinary eating with greater calm and self-trust.

This is an interactive workshop with guided reflection and practical exercises. You decide what you wish to share, and you are always welcome to participate privately.

This workshop provides general education and is not a substitute for eating-disorder treatment. If you regularly experience loss of control around food, compensatory behaviours or significant distress, please consider seeking support from a qualified healthcare professional.
