Your host

Hi!
My name is Daniel DanFromHR Space.
I've spent 20+ years as an HR Business Partner at companies like Spotify, Epic Games, Electronic Arts, WebMD, and American Express.
I've sat in the rooms where reorgs get designed, where layoffs get decided, where comp models get built, and where careers get made or broken. I've been the HRBP whispering in the CEO's ear and the HRBP cleaning up after the CEO ignored me.
Now I teach what I learned. Not the textbook version. The real version. How to actually think like a business person. How to speak executive language fluently instead of translating HR-speak in your head and hoping it lands.
How to build org structures, workforce plans, and compensation models that work. And how to walk into a room full of senior leaders and be the person they listen to, not the person they tolerate.
I started DanFromHR in 2020 to make content because nobody was teaching HRBPs the hard stuff. SHRM teaches you compliance. LinkedIn teaches you buzzwords. I teach you how to be the person your CEO can't run the business without.
I grew up in New York City, and now live in Charlotte.
I have a master's in HR from Manhattanville College and a bachelor's in Psychology and Music from SUNY New Paltz, which means I understand both how people think and how to make them feel something.
I'm building TheHRBPs.com as the home for HR professionals who are tired of being under taught and underestimated. If that's you, you're in the right place.
