I am a 30-year veteran of the tech industry, with extensive experience in engineering, product management, leadership, and Agile transformation. I have been involved in patent applications, RFPs, investor due diligence, data privacy / compliance issues, and creating pitch decks. The majority of my career has been spent in commercial B2B solutions that were sold to large enterprises around the globe. I've worked mostly on real-time systems that were either on-prem or SaaS, and occasionally involved hardware-based solutions and mobile UIs.
My specialties are creating highly autonomous virtual teams and revitalizing failing products. I teach departments how to be more productive with fewer meetings and more asynchronous communication. I teach leaders how to value results over activity and how to more effectively manage their teams while getting their time back.
In products, I believe in the power of simplicity and strong user experience. In leadership, I believe in being inspirational and supportive so that nothing is considered to be impossible. I like to incubate talent and turn them into rock stars.
I'm a seasoned public speaker, having spoken at over 60 events to help educate both entrepreneurs and customers. I spent almost a decade as an actor and singer and I bring those skills and training to my public speaking. I am able to teach those skills to others, including how to craft a presentation that will sound perfectly natural and always stay on track.
I come from a family of educators and have been training and mentoring people for most of my life. These days, there are a few types of coaching that I am usually asked to provide...
How to build and motivate autonomous teams
How to increase productivity while decreasing meetings for virtual teams
How to create a presentation / pitch that sounds natural and always finishes on time
How to hire / fire talent more effectively
How to revitalize a dying software product
How to engage customers
